Sculptures installed in atriums, suspended and wall-mounted.
A fascinating situation for a three dimensional sculpture, to be installed in space, allowing for movement and visibility from all angles. Suspension has its own challenges: how to install the work and how to structure the work to carry its own weight differently than if it were sitting on the ground. Not unlike astronauts learning to navigate weightlessness.
Shown here are a variety of works in this genre. I also have other ground-mounted sculptures that were designed for free-floating in space, such as: SHIVA:SHIWANA, MORNING STAR, POLARIS, TRISKELION CONTINUUM, and FIRE IN THE HOLE!, for example.
